Please follow all these instructions in order to use MondoTalk from a VoIP modem/router
1. Setup a FREE account
If you already have a MondoTalk number and password you can skip this step.
- Create a free account with MondoTalk by clicking here
- Check your email for your new MondoTalk account details. Write down or remember your free account details you will need them in the next steps.
2. Determining if your router/modem supports VoIP
- VoIP routers or modem should have a dedicated RJ11 port where you will connect your analog phone, if you are not certain that your current modem or router supports VoIP then it is advisable that you check with the manufacturer of the device first.
- If your device does not support support VoIP then you need an ATA to use your home phone with VoIP. For a detailed instructions how to use an ATA with your home phone click here.
3. Registering your MondoTalk account
- Once you have determined that your modem or router supports VoIP, open your VoIP modem or router’s user interface by typing the IP address of your unit in a web browser. You can find your device’s IP address in the user manual, at the bottom of the device or by logging in to the website of the manufacturer.
- Once you have opened the user interface you need to fill in theĀ username, password and the server address fields with the details provided via email upon signing up with MondoTalk.
- Save the changes that you have made and restart your device.
- Connect your analog handset using the an RJ11 cord to the VoIP router.
- Test the system if you have configured it correctly by dialing our FREE testing number 9080002.
4. A friendly reminder
- Your Internet and VoIP modem/router must be turned on to use MondoTalk.
