Please follow all these instructions in order to use MondoTalk from your home phone
1. About ATA’s
- ATA or Analog Telephone Adapter is a device that enables analog phones to be used in digital telephone systems like VoIP.
- Based on our research and testing MondoTalk currently recommends 3 ATAs the Linksys 3102, Linksys 2102 and the Linksys PAP2. If you have a different ATA you should be fine, we just recommend these three ATAs because it has proven to be reliable.
2. Setup a FREE account
If you already have a MondoTalk number and password you can skip this step.
- Create a free account with MondoTalk by clicking here
- Check your email for your new MondoTalk account details. Write down or remember your free account details you will need them in the next steps.
2. Registering your MondoTalk account
- Open the user interface of your ATA by typing in the IP address of the device into a web browser, the default username and password along the with IP address will be found from either the user manual or from the manufacturer’s website.
- Once you have opened the user interface you need to fill in the username, password and the server address fields with the details provided upon signing up with MondoTalk.
- Save the changes that you have made and restart your device.
- Connect your modem or router to the ATA using a standard Ethernet cord then connect your analog phone to the ATA using an RJ11 cord. Please see the diagram below for reference.
- Test the system if you have configured it correctly by dialing our FREE testing number 9080002.
3. A friendly reminder
- To be able to make or receive a phone calls using MondoTalk your Internet, modem and ATA must be turned on.
- If you are having difficulties registering your MondoTalk account or setting up your ATA device please feel free to contact us and our friendly representatives will be happy to assist you.
- Please note if our FREE call testing number does not work please check if your IP phone has a rewrite rule or dial plan rule, if it does, please clear it first to be able to call our free testing service.
